Chemonics International Inc., an international development consulting firm, seeks a highly qualified Ukrainian professional for the following long-term position for the USAID Justice for All (J4A) Activity in Ukraine:

Assistant Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assisting the Deputy Chief of Party and the Legal and Judicial Administration Advisor in carrying out day-to-day duties and tasks, including but not limited to scheduling meetings and appointments, making arrangements for translation services, drafting letters and other documents, contributing to Program event calendars, as directed.

  • Assisting the Deputy Chief of Party and the Legal and Judicial Administration Advisor in drafting the necessary scopes of work, IT procurement and Environmental Compliance documents as directed.
  • Assisting the Deputy Chief of Party and the Legal and Judicial Administration Advisor in preparing draft communications materials related to court construction and IT.
  • Providing other support to the Program’s court construction and IT efforts as requested by Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Legal and Judicial Administration Advisor.
  • For specific Program events and activities assigned, the Court Construction and IT Assistant shall provide the following logistics and administrative support:
  • Ensure proper filing, scanning and archiving of relevant administrative, contractual, personnel, technical, and programmatic documents both via electronic and hard copy files.
  • Preparing, copying, and distributing correspondence, proposals, reports, contracts, subcontracts and other Program documents.
  • Monitoring incoming and outgoing correspondence to/ from Program Partners.
  • Maintain Field Office’s (FO) Program files and the Program filing system, copy and properly file all Program correspondence and documents, in accordance with Chemonics and Program policies and regulations.
  • Participation in routine Program discussions on Program status and work plans.
  • Answering general emails and postal correspondence with customers and suppliers.

Job Qualifications:

  • BA or higher degree in Law, Business Administration, Logistics or other related field of knowledge
  • Excellent Ukrainian and English language skills
  • Previous experience working in administrative positions is preferred
  • Previous work experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to see through tasks set and deliver results.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, flexibility.
  • Keen sense of ethics, integrity, credibility, and commitment to the project’s goals.
