Type of Appointment: Special short term, Six months with possibility of extension

Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, and the direct supervision of the Information Management and Reporting Officer (CBI), the Information Management Assistant (CBI) will provide support to the implementation of IOM Ukraine’s Cash Programme efforts focused on response activities. The incumbent will be responsible of supporting the Information Management and Reporting Officer (CBI) with proper data storage and management for the CBI activities, in addition to supporting with dashboards and factsheets for the CBI programming reporting.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assist with the implementation of an integrated mechanism for data gathering and information management across all Cash Based Initiatives (CBI) activities to facilitate collection of accurate and reliable data.
- Provide assistance in monitoring data collection activities of the CBI activities, utilizing relevant software, such as Excel, Kobo toolbox, SPSS, Power BI, GIS etc.
- Support the Senior Project Associate with the management of a fully functional database to support the CBI unit, the latter using software such as Excel, Kobo toolbox, SPSS, Power BI, GIS etc.
- Provide support to data collection, input, cleaning, and initial analysis of data for the IOM CBI program unit.
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on CBI project topics.
- Under the Senior Project Associate guidance, contribute to updating datasets, including population data, cash disbursements, and any other information needed to monitor and report.
- Support the preparation and verification of all the necessary data for the transfer of cash assistance to beneficiaries.
- Support data collection for the unit reporting, including the systematic reporting at cluster level for CBI activities through the 4Ws.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- High school diploma with at least four years of relevant work experience;
Or,
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience of data management and knowledge of different techniques for data visualization and monitoring.
- Experience working with a non-governmental organization and/or international organization is an advantage.
Skills
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
- Understanding of data protection guidelines and principles;
- Understanding of CBI programming implemented by UN agencies and non-governmental organizations preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is required.
- Personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility and drive for results;
- Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and other GIS-related software is an advantage;
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Id-Design / Photoshop /PoweBI, GIS/ Kobo toolbox/ SPSS or other graphics software;
- Basic knowledge of Python programming and syntax is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds;
- Capable of working under stressful conditions;
- Ability and willingness to travel to field locations and work in insecure and hardship environment.
Languages
Fluency in English, Ukrainian is required.
