Communication Manager/Менеджер з комунікацій

Project Overview
Pact is recruiting a Communication Manager for an upcoming GAC-funded project Women of Ukraine: heard, capable, resilient. The goal of the project is greater realization of human rights and access to high quality services among women and girls in Ukraine and the advancement of gender equality across the country.

Position Purpose
The Communication Manager is responsible for preparing and delivering of the communication messages about products, services and public image of the project, including the preparation and dissemination of newsletters and press releases, brochures and/or related materials for all related activities.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop communication objectives and communication plans and implement them in coordination with the Project Manager
• Arrange publicity for the WOU project through different outlets
• Compose, edit, design, record, produce publications such as newsletters, leaflets and brochures
• Write news releases, speeches and articles; edit and organize the publication of documents in both English and Ukrainian
• Write and implement communication or promotional plans
• Keep Donor and partners up to date with WOU project news
• Assist with web development and technological enhancements; maintain and update website on a regular basis
• Produce a regular newsletter to donors and partners in both English and Ukrainian
• Develop promotional and communicational materials, including press releases, newsletters and articles;
• Coordinate a wide array of outreach events, including press conferences, briefings, business luncheons, partners meetings;
• Perform all work safely and maintain a safe working environment;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
• University Degree in Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations.
• At least 5 years working experience with international technical assistance programs

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) in both English and Ukrainian
– Time-management and organizational skills
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– Computer, desktop publishing skills, experience in web design
– Fluent oral and written English, Ukrainian and Russian.
