Since the start of the large-scale military invasion of Russia to Ukraine in February 2022, UNFPA implements a comprehensive nationwide Humanitarian Response Plan to provide life-saving GBV and SRH services to women and girls across Ukraine.
UNFPA is seeking highly-motivated candidates that share our passion of making a sound contribution to creating a Ukrainian society free from gender-based violence. We need strong professionals who are innovative, committed to excellence and keen to transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained results.
Requirements for candidates:
- 3 years of experience in a relevant area, e.g. Linguistic Studies or area related to Communication;
- At least 1 year of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in Communications, Procurement or Translation.
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills;
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
- Excellent translation and interpretation skills;
- Software or tools proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of content management systems software;
- Experience in preparing presentations;
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
- Sound security awareness.
- Have affinity with or interest in volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Linguistic Studies or area related to Communication
