Conflict and Gender Sensitivity Researcher (Дослідник/ця конфліктів і гендерної чутливості) to Alinea International

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work under the direction of the Conflict Adviser to:

· Maintain mapping of relevant stakeholders.

· Research relevant Ukrainian language sources and provide short written updates on key conflict sensitivity and gender sensitivity issues.

· Organise and support interviews with identified Ukrainian and international interlocutors, provide summary material when required.

· Maintain awareness of programme stakeholders and emerging conflict and gender sensitivity issues as the SADR programme evolves. Review all new activity support requests from a conflict and gender sensitivity perspective.

· Support delivery partners and stakeholders on the Women Peace and Security agenda.

· Support the monitoring and evaluation team and support monthly, quarterly, annual, and risk reporting from a conflict and gender sensiti.

· Maintain a monthly conflict and gender sensitivity dashboard to display key issues.

Other tasks in support of the project as required and agreed.

SUGGESTED PROFILE/SKILLS:

Essential:

· Ukrainian native speaker, proficient in English drafting and speaking.

· Proven research and organisational skills.

· Knowledge of conflict analysis and gender issues.

· Knowledge of Ukrainian Civil Society Organisations.

Desirable:

· Knowledge of Ukrainian defence ministry structures and issues.

TIMING: March 2024 – March 2025

LEVEL OF EFFORT: Full time

Location: Kyiv

Reporting: this position will report via the Conflict Adviser into the Programme Director on all technical delivery matters, and directly to Edge Foundation on contractual and billing matters.
