DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates for Digital Transformation Region Designer role to conduct a remote Short Term Technical Assistance (STTA) assignment with USAID Governance and Local Accountability (HOVERLA) Activity.

Project Background

DAI Global is implementing the USAID-funded Governance and Local Accountability (HOVERLA) Activity, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. This project is designed to support Ukraine advance self-reliant local governance including legislative reforms, participatory strategic planning methodologies, service improvement, local economic development, civil society engagement, and capacity building of sub-national government entities.

The Activity has three objectives:

  • Objective 1: Ukraine’s system of local self-governance is increasingly institutionalized and effective.
  • Objective 2: More self-reliant subnational governance.
  • Objective 3: Citizens play an increasingly influential role in local governance processes.

Overall Objective

The overall goal of this assignment is to create visual materials and design elements to support the digital transformation of regions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Creation of design materials for social media:

    • Developing images, graphics, and other visual elements for publications on social media platforms.

Development of presentations with infographics:

    • Creating presentation materials using infographics to effectively visualize information.

Development of logos and brand books for new projects:

    • Creating unique logos and developing brand books for new projects.

Mentoring of designers within the OVA framework in joint projects:

    • Providing consultations and assistance to other designers within joint projects.

Layout of analytical materials in PDF-book format:

    • Formatting analytical reports and other materials in PDF format for further distribution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of work in the design field (visual communications)
  • Having cases of successful work with state and social projects will be an advantage.
  • Ability to effectively present design concepts and ideas.
  • Willingness to work as a mentor for other designers, providing advice and support.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team and complete tasks according to established deadlines.
  • Creativity and ability to generate new ideas for visual representation of information.
  • High proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).

Success Criteria:

  • Quality and timely completion of all tasks according to requirements.
  • Positive feedback from clients and colleagues.
  • Improvement of design processes and outcomes of the team’s work on the digital transformation of regions.
