In accordance with the organisational mandate and national humanitarian need as well as recovery and development priorities of Ukraine, UNFPA implements a comprehensive nationwide Humanitarian Response Plan to provide life-saving GBV and SRH services across Ukraine and provide technical assistance to support recovery in the country. A new Country Programme for 2025−2029 is expected to be approved by the end of 2024. UNFPA is also a lead UN Agency to ensure availability of population statistics data to inform humanitarian and recovery planning.
Requirements for candidates:
- 2 years of experience in data management and data analytics or other relevant programmes at the national level will be advantage.
- Advanced knowledge in database management is mandatory;
- Advanced knowledge in querying, data cleaning and manipulation, using SQL, Python, M or R is mandatory;
- Experience in data visualization with PowerBi is an asset;
- Experience in geospacial analysis and visualization with ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, or similar tools is an asset;
- Experience working in the UN or other development/humanitarian organizations is an asset;
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting and reporting skills;
- Accuracy and professionalism in technical documentation;
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
- Sound security awareness;
- Have affinity with or interest in humanitarian and development work, volunteerism as a mechanism for durable development, and the UN System.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in a data science, statistics, or mathematics or related fields.

- English, Level: Fluent, Desirable
