EnCompass LLC is seeking a local Ukrainian consultant to provide services of Tableau Developer for the USAID/Ukraine Monitoring and Learning Support activity. This activity assists the USAID Regional Mission for Ukraine in its overall monitoring, data collection, analysis and visualization needs.
The Tableau Developer GIS/Data Management Consultant will support the work of UMLS GIS specialist and Data Analyst in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards.
The consultant will be performing services on an ad hoc basis (as needs arise) based on the request of the Data Analyst. The initial contract will be signed for 6 months, with tentative workload of up to 10 working days per month, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, conduct testing, and maintain Tableau dashboards
- Design optimal data flows in Tableau Prep
- Provide technical expertise in areas of architecture, design, and implementation of the dashboards
- Determine the best implementation that will meet the design
- Free application of Calculations, Parameters, Sets and multilayer map elements
- Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes
- Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations
- Ensure consistency by adhering to style guides
Qualifications and requirements
- Middle level Tableau development skills is required
- Proven experience in developing Tableau driven dashboards, analytics
- Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of the workbook
- Ability to interpret business requirements to dashboard structure
- Vast experience in developing mapping elements
- High-level competency in Excel, Google Sheets and Prep; experience in connecting to Google Sheets, Sharepoint, ArcGIS and others
- Understanding of advanced calculations, parameters applications and spatial functions
- A solid understanding of querying data, modeling, and normalization
