Job overview and main responsibilities
The Ukrainian Project Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of projects focusing on projects funded by the European Union (EU) across various sectors. Working under the direct supervision of the EU Project Management Unit Director (Tbilisi, Georgia) will be responsible for providing overall administrative support and actively contributing to the development of project proposals.
Project proposal preparation:
- Support the team in preparation of project proposals
- Analyze tender requirements
- Collect the information from partners and other stakeholders
- Recruit the project team members, search, identify, evaluate, communicate, hire, and contract
- Prepare written inputs and background documents, such as regular progress reports, technical briefs, and presentations on EU project activities.
Project Administration:
- Support the team in coordinating, administrating, and managing EU-funded project activities according to project plans and timelines
- Communication with clients and partners
- Support the team in organizing project meetings, workshops, and other events
- Monitor project progress and maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence specific to EU requirements.
- Support the project management team in the translation of the reports and other documents
- Maintenance and update of project information and data in the MIS System
- Provide other required administrative and/or any other tasks related to the project or may be advised by the Supervisor.
Required skills and Experience
- Master’s degree preferably in social science, political science, business or economics, public administration or other related disciplines
- Minimum 2 year of relevant, proven working experience within public or private sector
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with EU institutions in the context of project management or proposal development (implementation, logistics, budgeting, staffing, etc.)
- Fluency in both oral and written English
- Knowledge of Ukrainian development context, key sectors, and EU funding mechanisms is desirable.
