Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) opens a vacancy for the position of the Marketing Specialist

Job purpose
As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in propel the organization’s marketing efforts forward, driving brand awareness role and in supporting the implementation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society’s missions. Armed with your expertise in market research, audience behaviours, and innovative marketing strategies, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing successful campaigns that resonate with the target audience and set the organization apart from its competitors.

Success Indicators:

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the organization’s objectives and target market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing initiatives. Marketing strategy needs to be developed in close cooperation with the fundraising department.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes. Utilize data-driven insights to inform marketing decisions and create effective positioning strategies.
  • Content Development: Create engaging and persuasive marketing content, including copy, visuals, and multimedia materials, to attract and retain customers across various platforms such as websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: A successful marketing manager will collaborate effectively with the other departments, demonstrating strong teamwork and skills.

Job duties and responsibilities

Essential Tasks:

  • Digital Marketing: Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, and other online initiatives to enhance the organization’s online presence and drive lead generation.
  • Customer Segmentation: Segment the target audience and tailor marketing efforts to appeal to specific customer groups, ensuring relevant and personalized messaging that resonates with each segment.
  • Marketing Analytics: Analyse marketing data and metrics to evaluate campaign success, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance marketing performance.
  • Communication Analysis: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing efforts using data and metrics, providing insights to improve future strategies.
  • Report Presentation: Prepare comprehensive reports to relevant stakeholders, including team members and management and donors.
  • Trends and Benchmarks: Stay updated with industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices in reporting, adopting innovative approaches to measure success.
  • Participation in project or work groups of the URCS headquarter branches.

Additional Tasks:

  • Prepare speaking points and reactive lines for various occasions in collaboration with Unit.
  • Collaborate with key Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners in the EU and beyond to coordinate joint communicational advocacy campaigns.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Participate in the process of digital transformation.
  • Duties applicable to all staff
  • Actively work towards the achievement of the URCS goals
  • Abide by and work in accordance with the Red Cross Movement principles
  • Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line manager
  • Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a similar role or within the relevant industry.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and marketing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, market research, and consumer behavior.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and marketing automation software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content.
  • Experience of working with social networks and different media outlets
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to propose innovative marketing strategies.
  • Project management skills to effectively plan and execute marketing campaigns.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving marketing objectives and driving business growth.
