Проект ЄС Association4U оголошує набір молодших і асоційованих фахівців із секторальної політики для надання підтримки урядовим інституціям в імплементації Угоди про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС.
The Project ‘Association4U’ (‘A4U’) is seeking to recruit Junior Sectoral Policy Fellows to provide support to Government Institutions (including Governmental Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Infrastructure, State Statistics Service, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Environment) in implementing the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine.
Successful candidates will receive intensive coaching and support from international experts and Senior Fellows, as well as training from the Project Training Unit, in a range of relevant skills. The posts are therefore an excellent opportunity for professional skills enhancement; many of our Fellows have used their experience with the project as a ‘launch-pad’ for a career in Government or with International Institutions.
Successful candidates appointed will be required to support Government Officials, Senior and Associate Fellows and experts in specialist areas related to the Association Agreement (AA) in the following areas:
- Evaluation of policy analyses, policy papers and studies in relation to AA requirements
- Sectorial policy-making, strategic mapping of policy documents and policy-based budgeting
- Internal and inter-institutional consultations and coordination procedures and structures between governmental bodies to improve implementation of the AA obligations
- Research, including preparation and evaluation of regulatory, economic and social impact assessments
No previous experience is required, as full training will be given in relevant personal and professional skills. The following qualities are required:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Economics, Law, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Natural or technical Sciences or a related discipline
- Knowledge of English language
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The Project ‘Association4U’ (‘A4U’) is seeking to recruit Associate Sectoral Policy Fellows to provide support to Government Institutions (including Governmental Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environment) in implementing the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine.
Successful candidates will receive intensive coaching and support from international experts, as well as training from the Project Training Unit in a range of relevant skills. The posts are therefore an excellent opportunity for professional skills enhancement.
Interested candidates can apply for a position on a part-time or full-time basis. Successful candidates appointed will participate in developing the Association Agreement (AA), which may include:
- Supporting AA implementation related planning, monitoring and reporting
- Provision of advice to Central Government Institutions (including CMU) to assist in implementation of their responsibilities regarding the Association Agreement
- Supporting the assessment of the regulatory, economic and social impact of new approximated legislation
- The preparation and evaluation of policy analyses, policy papers and studies,
- The assessment of compliance of policy and other documents with the requirements of the AA.
The following professional qualities are required:
Education:
- University Degree in Law, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Political, Social, Natural or Technical Sciences, Management or other relevant fields;
- (A PhD or research/postgraduate studies in relevant fields would be an advantage)
Work experience, knowledge and skills:
- At least 7 years of general professional experience (can include PhD level studies)
- Minimum 5 years of specific professional work or research experience preferably including experience in at least one sector covered by the AA
- Knowledge of English language (at least level B2 according to Common European Framework)
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- (Would be an advantage): general knowledge of the EU – Ukraine cooperation/AA;
Applicants must be organized and disciplined in order to meet deadlines, and able to work with minimum supervision.
Applicants must be Ukrainian citizens, and should not have been employed by the Ukrainian public administration in the six months prior to their application.
