Internship Title (paid) – Finance and Administration Intern
Host Organization: Global Communities – DOBRE Program in Ukraine
Global communities is implementing the USAID-funded Decentralization Offering Better Results and Efficiency (DOBRE) program in Ukraine. Launched in 2016, this 5-year project is helping leaders of newly formed amalgamated territorials communities (ATC) to effectively manage resources, increased the quality of public services, stimulate local economies, and improve citizen engagement.
DESCRIPTION
The Finance and Administration Intern will contribute to a number of financial and administrative tasks.
The Intern will assist with the day-to-day accounting and finance related functions at the DOBRE Project office in Kyiv. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with travel related documents, handling cash and bank disbursements, withdrawals and receipts, assisting with the preparation and submission of accounting and financial reports, ensuring that all supporting documents are complete, ensuring that all accounting and finance documents and filed and stored properly, etc.
The intern will work will be supervised by Senior Finance Manager.
This 6-8 week paid internship position will be based in DOBRE office in Kyiv.
On-site training will be provided.
The internship is designed to begin on or about October 1, 2017.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate/undergraduate student majored in accounting, finance, business administration or related fields;
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred;
- Ability to speak, read and write in English is preferred;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Ability to perform and complete a variety of detail-oriented duties in a deadline driven, fast paced environment;
- Prior work experience is advantageous.
