International Charitable Foundation «SOS Children’s Villages» is looking for a professional to join our team at the position of INTERNAL AUDITOR & INTEGRITY OFFICER (f/m)
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine
Type of contract: Employment Contract
Duration: until 31 December 2025 (the probation period is 3 months)
Missionof the position:
The main purpose is to safeguard SOS standards, enhance, support the internal control system and support the improvement of effectiveness and efficiency in operations and risk management system in the Organization through regular internal audits or project-related monitoring. The position also foresees an advisory role on how to best implement the recommendations from internal audits.
Main responsibilities:
- Verifies the completion of the actions as per the Internal Audit Action Plan/s and supports the quarterly updates;
- Performs the role of National Focal Point for Anti-Fraud and Anti-Corruption (AFAC), as stipulated in the SOS AFAC regulations;
- Contribute to improving the internal regulations and monitor the establishment of the internal controls in SOS Ukraine;
- Supports the knowledge and awareness about Internal Audit work inside the Organization by conducting national meetings, training, and participating in network meetings and trainings organized by the Federation;
- Carries out special reviews and investigations as requested by the Supervisory Board and the National Director;
- Carries out internal audits, special reviews, and investigations as requested by the Regional Internal Auditor and supports the Regional Office in cross-functional audits at other Member Associations when requested and approved by the Supervisory Board and National Director;
- Maintains a historic overview of national internal audits and follows up on action plan completion by testing and checking the actions;
- Upon request, supports communication and cooperation with external audit firms;
- Monitors the large tender procedures and advises on the improvement of the procurement system (without voting rights);
- Coordinates the risk management process in the Organization.
ChildSafeguarding:
- Responsible within own area of work to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence, and discrimination;
- Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS report should be made to the CS focal person and/or to respective line manager.
Requirements:
- University degree in Finance or Accounting;
- Be a certified Internal Auditor;
- At least 5 years of successful experience in Auditing;
- Good knowledge of English: speaking, writing and reading;
- Have proven knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Be a motivated self-starter with initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm, and with the highest level of integrity in dealing with co-workers;
- Possess good organizational and time management skills and the ability to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures knowledgeable in Child Rights and Child Safeguarding Practices.
