The EU funded Project ‘Association4U’ is seeking Associate & Junior Translation Fellows to provide support to Government Institutions (Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration) in the translation and revision of EU and Ukraine legal acts and related documents foreseen under the AA/DCFTA implementation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be a Ukrainian citizen, and should not have been employed by the Ukrainian public administration in the six months prior to the closing date of this announcement.
- The applicant must be independent and free from conflict of interest in the responsibilities he/she takes on.
The successful Associate Translation Fellow Candidate appointed to this important role will be required to perform on a part-time or full-time basis at home (online) the following tasks:
- The translation and revision of EU and Ukraine legal acts and related documents foreseen under the AA/DCFTA implementation from or into English
- The development and updating of legal terminology/glossaries
- Provide translation consultancy services to Government Institutions (cooperation with GOEI and Ministries)
- Provision of training and reporting as required.
The following professional qualities are required: University Master’s Degree in Languages (Philology/Linguistics/Translation) or/and Law, International relations, Public Administration, Economics or Business with Languages
- (Would be an advantage): a certificate of proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or similar) or postgraduate studies/research fellowship in EU countries in the field of languages
- At least 7 years of general professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of specific experience in translation or translations’ revision or and/or drafting, analysis or application Law
- Perfect command of the Ukrainian language
- Excellent writing skills and command of grammar
- Excellent knowledge of English language (at least level C1 according to Common European Framework)
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
(Would be an advantage): knowledge of Ukrainian and EU law; experience in legal translation or legal translation revision; knowledge of another official EU language, experience in using translation software (Memo Q, Trados etc).
Applicants must be organized and disciplined in order to meet deadlines, and able to work with minimum supervision.

The successful Junior Translation Fellow Candidate appointed to this important role will be required to perform on full-time basis at home (online) the following tasks:
- The translation of EU and Ukraine legal acts and related documents foreseen under implementation of the Association Agreement from or into English
- Consultation and participation with Associate Fellows and experts in specialist areas.
The following professional qualities are required:
- Bachelor Degree in Languages (Philology/Linguistics/Translation), preferably covering English and/or Law.
- (Would be an advantage): a certificate of proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, or similar)
- Professional experience not required, although some previous translation experience an advantage
- Perfect command of the Ukrainian language
- Excellent writing skills and command of grammar

The EU funded Project ‘Association4U’ is seeking Associate & Junior Communication Fellows to provide support to Government Institutions (including Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Energy and Coal, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, State service of Ukraine on food safety and consumers protection) in implementing the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine (AA).
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be a Ukrainian citizen, and should not have been employed by the Ukrainian public administration in the six months prior to the closing date of this announcement.
The applicant must be independent and free from conflict of interest in the responsibilities he/she takes on.
The successful Associate Communication Fellow Candidate appointed to this important role will be required to perform on a part-time or full-time basis the following tasks:
- To assure public communication and visibility of the Government Institutions
- To assure on-line presence of any of the aforementioned institutions (web-resources / social media)
- To prepare information products: presentations, booklets, newsletters, convert analytics into infographics, video spots, images, etc.)
- To assist in setting up and maintenance effective communication with media
- To assist with organization of public events
- Provision of training and reporting as required
The following professional qualities are required:
- University Degree in public relations / media / communications or relevant for Government Institution (Master’s Degree on any of the related fields & PhD or research/postgraduate studies in relevant fields would be an advantage)
- At least 7 years of general professional experience (can include PhD studies)
- Minimum 5 years of specific professional work in communication
- Knowledge of English language (at least level B2 according to Common European Framework)
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
(Would be an advantage):
- General knowledge of the EU – Ukraine cooperation & AA;
- Knowledge of information products design software
Applicants must have managing and coordinating skills and be able to work independently and under pressure

- To draft media invites & press-releases
- To assist with the organization of public events
- To maintain social media accounts
- To draft content for web-resources
- To draft develop information products
The following professional qualities are required:
- Bachelor Degree in public relations / media / communications or relevant for Government Institution (A Master’s Degree and/or postgraduate studies would be an advantage)
- Professional experience not required, although some previous experience in public relations / media / communications an advantage
- Knowledge of English language (at least level B2 according to Common European Framework)
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
(Would be an advantage):
- General knowledge of the EU – Ukraine cooperation & AA
- Knowledge of information products design software
