Nature of Consultancy: Under the overall supervision of the Emergency and Stabilization National Programme Officer, and the direct supervision of the Project Specialist, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of IOM Ukraine’s National Monitoring System efforts.
The objective of the National Monitoring System (NMS) in Ukraine is to support the Government of Ukraine in collecting and analyzing information on the socio-economic characteristics of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and IDP households, as well as the challenges they faced. The survey collected information on socio-economic characteristics of IDPs at individual and household levels, including trends and movement intentions, employment and livelihood opportunities, access to social services and assistance needs in 24 oblasts of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall implementation of Emergency and Stabilization efforts.
- Assist in the conduct of sample surveys of IDPs in all oblasts of Ukraine through telephone interviews in support of humanitarian programmes in Ukraine:
- Conduct telephone interviews with IDPs;
- Enter the data into the database and complete the questionnaires;
- Perform the quality checks of the filled out forms;
- Report on the developments and issues of concern that may arise.
- Perform other relevant duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, political science, international relations would be an advantage.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience
- Experienced in organizational and administrative duties.
- Basic knowledge of survey methodology, data collecting, and telephone
- Knowledge of humanitarian activities and context is advantageous
Languages
- Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is
