Deloitte is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an STTA Consultant on Training and Coordinating Peer Groups of Health Workers in support of the USAID/ Ukaid Health Reform Support (HRS). The position is part-time and will be based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Period of Performance: April – September 2021
Level of Effort: 40 working days
Project Background and Summary:
The purpose of the USAID/UKAID Health Reform Support is to support a transparent, accountable, and effective health care system that is capable of meeting the health needs of the Ukrainian people. Advancing health sector reforms, enhancing transparency, and tackling corruption will reduce out-of-pocket payments and improve access and availability of high quality, evidence-based health care services for Ukrainians. Elimination of corruption is a cross-cutting theme across all objectives to be achieved by this activity, which includes:
- Improve health sector governance.
- Support the transformation of the healthcare financing model.
- Strengthen the health workforce.
- Enhance transparency, accountability and responsiveness of the health care system.
- Improve service delivery system at all levels.
Objective:
The Consultant on Training and Coordinating Peer Groups of Health Workers will work under HRS Objective 3 and provide technical and managerial support for launching the peer groups of health workers.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of a training course, facilitate the training and deliver sessions
- Provide consultations for or check-ins with the peer group leaders and members
- Contribute to the development of methodology based on the HRS activity which will be used by peer group members
- Develop cooperation with stakeholders interested in supporting peer groups on the institutional level
- Cooperate and maintain dialogue with activity’s counterparts
- Participate in the working meetings of the HRS team on a regular basis
- Perform additional tasks (related to Peer Groups’ support), as requested.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, health care, sociology, psychology, or other related areas.
- No less than two years of experience working with the USAID projects or other projects of technical assistance will be an asset.
- Experience of developing and delivering trainings/educational events
- Experience of working with health workers’ community
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Fluent Ukrainian and English
