Deloitte is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Events Coordinator in support of the USAID Health Reform Support project. The position is full-time and will be based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Project Description
The purpose of the USAID Health Reform Support (HRS) project is to support a transparent, accountable, and effective health care system that is capable of meeting the health needs of the Ukrainian people. Advancing health sector reforms, enhancing transparency, and tackling corruption will reduce out-of-pocket payments and improve access and availability of high quality, evidence-based health care services for Ukrainians. Elimination of corruption is a cross-cutting theme across all objectives to be achieved by this activity, which include:
- Improve health sector governance.
- Support the transformation of the healthcare financing model.
- Strengthen the health workforce.
- Enhance transparency, accountability, and responsiveness of the health care system.
- Improve service delivery system at all levels.
Background/Objective
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing and executing a wide range of events: conferences, trainings, seminars and other events.
Responsibilities
- Support with planning, organizing and executing of the Project offline, hybrid and online events.
- Collaborate with the Project teams to understand their event objectives, budget, and requirements.
- Develop event concepts that meet teams’ goals and expectations.
- Create and manage the Project event calendar.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
- Support procurement specialist in identifying, negotiating, and managing relationships with vendors, including caterers, decorators, AV technicians, and other providers.
- Ensure timely delivery of services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and according to plan.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the event to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and staying within financial limits.
- Collect and analyze feedback from teams and participants to assess event success and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, using diplomatic and tactful language, even in stressful, time-sensitive situations
- Fluency in Ukrainian.
- Upper-intermediate level of English.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in event planning, coordination, and execution, with a portfolio of successful events.
