International Charitable Foundation «SOS Children’s Villages» is looking for a professional to join our team in the position of
EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROGRAM MANAGER (ERP)
The program aim is humanitarian and psychosocial support of families in need and difficult life circumstances in Lugansk region
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Program management for SOS Ukraine’s Emergency Program, including:
- Conducting monitoring and evaluation of all projects that are part of the Emergency Response Program, i.e. daily/weekly/monthly monitoring, mid-term review and final evaluation;
- Support and organization of internal and external audit;
- Preparation of reports and other necessary documents for the Regional Office (RO) or as per donors’ requests;
- Participation in program design for the next emergency program cycle;
- Support in monitoring and evaluation of current Public Funding (PF) projects and regular programs;
- Preparation of needs assessment according to situation, analysis needed for development of PF applications and Program Proposals, conducting of surveys, focus groups, etc. by request of Program Director;
- Monthly data preparation for the humanitarian coordination clusters;
- Participation in coordination meetings, representation of the organization and feeding back information and networking acquired to the organization;
- Preparation of communication reports in order to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine;
- Participating in emergency program budgeting; monitoring and support reporting regarding financial management of the program;
- Working on increasing publicity of all ER related activities and projects in mass media, through social and traditional media;
- Conducting assessments of capacity building, training/mentorship needs of ERP staff and accordingly plan for and organize trainings/workshops and other support mechanisms meeting the needs;
- Coordination of the facilitation of trainings conducted within the program (arrange logistics and deal with accommodation issues, inquire participants’ feedback, communicate with stakeholders, etc.);
- Ultimate responsible for the Emergency Program, including its design/implementation/monitoring and evaluation, and including operational management support such as Finance/HR/Logistics/Communication/Security
Requirements:
- University degree in Sociology, Disaster Management or other related fields;
- Preferably 2 years of experience in humanitarian aid, disaster management or similar;.
- Experienced in program cycle management, including strong monitoring and evaluation skills;
- Preferably experienced in Child Protection emergency programs, including case management
- Strong leadership skills, ability to lead/coordinate/motivate and support field office staff at distance and ability to regularly visit field offices
- Flexibile, able to work independently in a fast paced and often changing environment
- Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian, written and spoken;
- Demonstrates critical thinking, strategic planning, performance monitoring and knowledge on technical aspects of emergency program management and activities;
- Experienced in needs assessment, conducting surveys and preparation of different types of reports;
- Ability to work in a team and independently, and manage high volume of work flow;
- High level of computer literacy; including Word, Excell, Powerpoint, Outlook, Cloud networks
- Readiness for undertaking field trips to offices located near the contact line.
