Program Context
Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for multiple operations positions for the five-year USAID Harvest Activity. The activity aims to enable supported male and female grain and oilseed farmers, including those from marginalized and underserved groups, to return production and income for target commodities to at least pre-war levels while improving production efficiency and profitability and will position farmers to market their crops more successfully and profitably in the war-affected context. The Activity will focus specifically on the following target commodities; barley, corn, soybean, sunflower, and wheat.
Positions

Activity Operations Team: The activity operations team will manage risk management, compliance, finance, and administration to ensure cost control and adherence to applicable regulations.

Strategic Investment Fund Team: The Strategic Investment Fund team will use grants and construction activity-development tools to support core technical and crosscutting technical resources teams in designing initial support grants for farmers.

Illustrative Qualifications and Requirements:
Director Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least ten years experience in operations, finance, procurement and/or administration for donor-funded development projects, preferably in the agriculture sector
- Proven experience managing and supervising teams and individuals
- Previous USAID experience, or related donor required
- Strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
- Proficiency in English required, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Manager Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least five years previous experience in operations, finance, procurement and/or administration for donor-funded development projects, preferably in the agriculture sector
- Proven experience managing and supervising teams and individuals
- Previous USAID experience, or related donor required
- Strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
- Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Specialist Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in operations, finance, procurement and/or administration for donor-funded development projects, preferably in the agriculture sector
- Experience working on a USAID project, preferred but not required
- Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Assistant Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience in operations, finance, procurement and/or administration for donor-funded development projects, preferably in the agriculture sector
- Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communication skills
