PROGRAM BACKGROUND
Handicap International “HI” (operating as Humanity & Inclusion) is an independent and impartial international aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, our action and testimony are focused on responding to their essential needs, improving their living conditions and promoting respect for their dignity and their fundamental rights.
HI is currently opening a multi-sectoral life-saving assistance to displaced and non-displaced populations in Ukraine such as : Protection, shelter, health, NFIs, food security and livelihoods, water, sanitation, hygiene, and education and strengthening and supporting access to mental health and psychosocial support; provision of basic and domestic items including food, unrestricted cash assistance, and core relief items.

General Mission
The Basic needs Officer will contributes to the monitoring and support of HI Basic Needs operations activities. He/she is responsible for the effective implementation of the identified distribution needs (nonfood items, hygiene kits and food distribution) by providing technical expertise and ensuring that the quality and impact is optimised.
Missions/Responsibilities
- Responsibility 1: Participate in needs assessment.
- Responsibility 2: Participate in the development of the distribution strategy
- Responsibility 3: Supervise the distribution and data collection team
- Responsibility 4: Communication and coordination with local institutions.
- Responsibility 5 : Plan activities and monitor the implementation of the project
- Responsibility 6: Carry out regular reporting on activities
- Responsibility 7 : Participate in the recruitment of the distribution team
- Responsibility 8: Define the procurement needs for the implementation of the project
Main Activities:
- Project implementation :
- Support the team to design, facilitate needs assessment and evaluate the market and identify vendors
- Responsible for the efficient time management of the project
- Provide other administrative support as needed like recruitment
- Reporting and monitoring
- Write evaluation reports of the distribution activities
- Ensure data base collection
- Partners networking
- Communicate with local institutions
- Support to identify new partners

Salary: As per HI salary scale
