Pact Inc. is implementing a USAID-funded project Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity. The primary goal of PHS R&R is to strengthen the Government of Ukraine (GoU)’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats, sustain critical public health services during a crisis, and protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized groups.
Background
Pact seeks a consultant to facilitate sessions in the project focus communities to help community stakeholders come up with a shared vision of the local public health system and collaboratively develop community-based public health initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities (Tasks)
- In coordination with Community health unit and regional coordinators develop a methodology and a timeline to hold strategic sessions in communities (March-April 2023);
- Conduct strategic sessions in 10 target communities (March-April 2023);
- Provide mentoring support to communities in developing community-based initiatives (March-April 2023);
- Develop and submit a report on strategic sessions results (April 2023).
Period of performance: March 2023 – April 2023 (no more than 30 days in total)
Deliverables
- Developed methodology and timeline (March – April 2023)
- Provided reports on the performed tasks (March – April 2023)
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in medicine, public health, human resources, social work or a related field is required.
- At least five years of experience in public health.
- Broad understanding of capacity building activities on community level.
- Ability to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.,
- Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments and work with and between different stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and consensus building.
