Finland’s Support to Ukrainian School Reform is a development program funded by Finland. The Project will be complemented by an EU funded component related to supporting the teaching of Ukrainian as the State Language in regions with language minorities. The Project is implemented by FCG International.
We are currently looking to employ a qualified Project Manager for Language Component.
Project Manager for Language Component is a person responsible for implementation of the tasks outlined by overall project plan on Language Component.
Location: Kyiv
Contract duration: 3,5 years
Salary: according to the experience and scope of duties.
The responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the language component,
- Coordination activities of the language component with activities under main Clusters 1-3,
- Drafting ToR for language component activities, communication with the service providers,
- Coordination of the activities of local coordinators in Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions,
- Contributing to the implementation of the activities with his or her skills and knowledge,
- Planning and report writing.
Desired qualifications:
- At at least 2 years’ working experience in education sector, especially with education of national minorities,
- Good knowledge of the Ukrainian education sector development and familiarity with the New Ukrainian School,
- Excellent English and Ukrainian,
- Good networking relations with education sector stakeholders,
- Ability to work independently, be pro-active and have good communication skills,
- Masters’ degree in Philology (Ukrainian language and literature) is an asset,
- Experience/knowledge of bi/multilingualism is an asset,
- Participation in international education projects/programs is an asset.
- All the above positions require excellent command of English and Ukrainian, both oral and written. Command of Hungarian and/or Romanian is recommendable. Good computer skills and ability to work under pressure is also required.
