About NGO “Global Reforms Management”:
NGO “GRM” (Global Reforms Management) is a Ukrainian NGO with the main goal to implement reforms in Ukraine, help Government of Ukraine improve quality of life of its citizens and cooperate with international partners. The organization has already implemented several-year reform-oriented projects surrounding education, probation, and regional development.
About the Emergency response to support access to quality education for conflict affected and displaced children in Ukraine Project:
Project’s aim is to help renewing access to education of children on the war affected territories of Chernihiv and Kyiv regions by establishing digital learning centers (DLC) in the damaged hromadas. Such centres will serve as a learning environment for children of primary and general secondary school age who lack access to education and age-appropriate development due to their inability to follow formal education during the war. DLCs will provide access to learning materials, didactics; will serve as an arranged space for extracurricular activities for children of various age. DLCs will be equipped with the necessary digital devices in order to provide children access to their online classes. This will be especially important for those children who do not have access to a device for educational purposes. Thus, DLCs will help to mitigate disparities in digital access.
Project duration is 7 months.
Position summary:
For the purposes of project implementation, GRM is looking for a Project Manager. The post holder will provide overall management of the project, ensure that it meets the agreed targets and fulfills the contract requirements. The post holder will be responsible for managing a team of 11 people.
The position will require extensive travelling around the Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
Level of Effort: Full time, Monday-Friday (part time involvement is not possible).
The duration of the contract is 7 months (15 June 2022 till 15 January 2023) with no possibility of extension.
For contracting (after the job offer is made), the selected candidate should be able to get registered as a Private Entrepreneur of the 3rd group (consultancy services).
Indicative duties and responsibilities (scope of work):
• In cooperation with GRM management team, project manager – define project’s concept and design, logframe, the project implementation plan, and develop work plan for the project’s team;
• Manage, coordinate and lead the project’s team on strategic level and on day-to-day basis;
• Structure the work of the project’s team. Manage the project’s team to ensure timely execution of tasks;
• Make sure that the project attracts the needed expertise;
• Coordinate implementation of the project and conduct consultations with stakeholders;
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholders’ engagement at regional level;
• Ensure communication with the donor;
• Coordinate and oversee budgeting issues, financial reports duly preparation;
• Coordinate narrative reports preparation;
• Organize work in a way that allows to reach the targets set up by the contract with the donor;
• Ensure high quality of work that corresponds with the quality standards of the GRM;
• Ensure that the project targets are met in the region.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Master Degree in Education/Social Sciences/Humanities/Economics/Law
• No less than 5-years experience in education sphere,
• Proven experience of organizational and managerial activities, in particular in education sphere;
• Proven experience and knowledge of project management best practices;
• Excellent communication skills
• Impeccable ethical standards
• High level of Ukrainian and English proficiency
• Driving license and ample driving experience is a must. Possession of an own car is a must.
