Project Overview
Pact is recruiting a Program Coordinator for a GAC-funded project Women of Ukraine: heard, capable, resilient. The goal of the project is greater realization of human rights and access to high quality services among women and girls in Ukraine and the advancement of gender equality across the country.
Position Purpose
The Program Coordinator is responsible for performing program duties as assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to Project Manager in preparation and conducting of all project activities; communication with partners to invite/confirm participation in trainings and events; collecting information and data from partners; circulating information per guidance from Project Manager.
- Prepare briefing materials as necessary to be used on official trips or meetings.
- Prepare informal translations for program related correspondence and materials.
- Route program correspondence to and from concerned program staff and maintain follow up system.
- Draft correspondence, take instruction on variety of program related matters.
- Keep list of names, addresses and telephone numbers of project counterparts, government officials.
- May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as required. May be called upon to coordinate, or assist with, special projects, events or functions as directed.
- Perform all work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a complex workload and deadlines.
- Excellent communications, writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Ukrainian, proficiency in Russian.
- Highly effective administration skills including computing, word processing and internet use.
- Pro-active, intuitive, fast-thinker, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- University diploma. A minimum of three years of clerical or administrative experience.
- Must be familiar with the office practices, particularly in the project management field.
- Advanced level keyboard skills and computer literacy on a variety of software applications (MS Word, Excel, Access, Open-net, etc.).
- Ability to organize routine data and maintain established procedures. Ability to be flexible, resourceful and service-oriented in dealing with people.
Experience working within complex networks and addressing issues of internal governance and management, dispute resolution, and fair and transparent decision-making.
