Deloitte is seeking qualified candidates for the open position of Project Communications Lead in support of the USAID Health Reform Support project. This position is based in Kyiv; however, telework is authorized from within Ukraine at present. This telework authorization is subject to change at the discretion of Deloitte.

Project Description:
The purpose of the USAID Health Reform Support project is to support a transparent, accountable, and effective health care system that is capable of meeting the health needs of the Ukrainian people. Advancing health sector reforms, enhancing transparency, and tackling corruption will reduce out-of-pocket payments and improve access and availability of high quality, evidence-based health care services for Ukrainians. Elimination of corruption is a cross-cutting theme across all objectives to be achieved by this activity, which include:
- Improve health sector governance.
- Support the transformation of the healthcare financing model.
- Strengthen the health workforce.
- Enhance transparency, accountability, and responsiveness of the health care system.
- Improve service delivery system at all levels.
Position Summary:
The Project Communications Lead will be responsible for all external and internal project communications, as well as providing overall communications leadership and management of relevant activities. Additionally, the Project Communications Lead will support project technical advisors with other ad hoc-related communications tasks.
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Develop the project’s informational and marketing materials consistent with relevant templates and guidelines;
- Promote the project’s work to internal and external stakeholders;
- Produce quarterly newsletters, info bullets, regular results, and success stories describing the project’s achievements;
- Work together with the project team to develop educational and training materials;
- Collaborate with the communications team to ensure proper branding and relevant approvals;
- Work with technical and objective leads to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the project’s activities and in support of various initiatives that promote these activities;
- Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team;
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external stakeholders;
- Organize the project’s participation in national and regional public and monitor the effectiveness of this participation;
- Collaborate with the communication team in reaching media with updates on the project’s news and results, as well as preparing press releases and media packages/press-kits; and
- Provide communication support to the donor on the development of informational and marketing materials that will highlight the donor’s work in Ukraine and the resulting benefits for the Ukrainian people.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (essential);
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications (essential);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal management skills, with proven ability to manage and supervise multiple full-time staff, international consultants, and local consultants;
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines;
- Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools;
- Content writing experience for all types of audiences and different media platforms
- Strategic and creative mindset; and
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Reporting Requirements
The Project Communications Lead will report to the Deputy Chief of Party.
