Job Description: Project Manager – SMAERTER4EU Project
Location: Kyiv/Remote
Reports to: CEO, EUEA
Contract Type: Project-Based until May 2025
About the SMAERTER4EU Project:
The SMAERTER4EU Project is co-financed by the European Union, with the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) serving as the implementing partner in Ukraine. The project aims to drive growth in the green housing construction sector across Europe, including Ukraine. This involves the introduction of EU taxonomy-aligned certification systems for green housing projects and the development of financial instruments to support these initiatives.
Position Overview:
EUEA is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the SMAERTER4EU project in Ukraine. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project, working closely with consortium members, managing resources, coordinating activities, and overseeing the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for consortium members and stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication between EUEA and project partners.
- Represent EUEA at project-related meetings, workshops, and events.
- Project Management:
- Oversee project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and objectives.
- Manage project resources efficiently, including financial and human resources.
- Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Workshops and Events:
- Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure workshops contribute to the development of the green homes certification system and associated tools.
- Team Management:
- Lead and coordinate the project team, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve project goals.
- Advocacy and Engagement:
- Drive advocacy efforts for green housing initiatives in Ukraine.
- Build relationships with policymakers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Environmental Science, Energy Policy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing/participating in EU-funded projects or similar international initiatives.
- Knowledge of green housing, sustainability, or renewable energy sectors is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian (both written and spoken).
