Summary
The position of Recruitment Officer exists to assist in recruitment activities of the People and Culture Department and provide People and Culture support to the Global Communities (GC) staff in Ukraine. The Recruitment Officer must be able to deal effectively with people and handle all tasks assigned. S/he should deal with ensuring the full recruitment and selection cycle, searching for suitable staff, evaluating applications and other personnel issues as required.
The position reports to People and Culture Director and is based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Responsibilities:
1. Administering the talent search websites, social media platforms, and other vendors, including purchase requests, reporting and talent pipeline maintenance.
2. Advising hiring managers on drawing up requirement profiles and formulating appropriate job descriptions in consultation with them.
2. Searching for suitable staff in accordance with the requirements for the positions (identifies existing GC HR resources in the country and/or region, writes job advertisements and ensures publication in appropriate print and/or online media).
3. Evaluating applications received and shortlisting candidates on the basis of the requirements or hiring criteria, obtains references, and conducts preliminary discussions.
4. Organizing personnel selection (e.g., applicant interviews) and advice, if necessary, on selection.
5. Notifying unsuccessful applicants, documents the selection process, archives the documentation and enters the data into existing systems.
6. Dealing with all other organizational and administrative stages in processing, e.g., regular update of entries for national personnel.
8. Ensuring all requirements and recent updates of Ukrainian Labor legislation are observed.
9. Is responsible for implementing and complying with GC’s national personnel policies and putting in place the corresponding HR instruments and procedures; providing support to Country Teams to ensure adherence to recruitment policies and procedures while remaining flexible and adaptive.
10. Assisting in developing human resource instruments and procedures and in their implementation.
11. Is involved in HR processes optimization and automation, both with testing and implementation.
12. Providing the members of the interview committee with all the necessary documents in time before the interview (resume, candidate’s evaluation form, etc.)
12. Demonstrate a consistent commitment to diversity and inclusion in all recruitment activities.
13. Other human resources and administrative duties as assigned.
Education and Training
-BA/MSc in social sciences, university degree in law, economics or sociology (if possible, with a focus on HR area) or similar area;
Experience
-At least 3 years of relevant HR experience, including experience successfully leading high volume international recruitment teams.
-Experience with a wide range of recruitment technology applied to sourcing, screening, and hiring.
-Experience in advising on HR issues.
Technical skills
-Knowledge of HR best practices, demonstrating command of related policies, priorities, and practices and a track record of bringing innovative solutions to the recruitment space.
- Good working knowledge of IT technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Teams).
-Deep familiarity with talent pools and labor trends in Ukraine.
-Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills across boundaries, and the ability to influence and manage working relationships with managers, staff, and candidates at all levels.
-Good judgement and ability to make timely decisions and resolve complex issues; awareness of how to handle HR issues appropriately (confidentiality, data protection).
- Good knowledge of national labor and social law.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Ukrainian.
- Very good communication skills and client-orientation.
- Stress-resistance and good time-management.
