ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION:

The Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA) is a collaborative effort between the European Union, the United States, and the United Kingdom to coordinate and support justice and accountability efforts by Ukrainian authorities to ensure accountability for atrocity crimes committed in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. It is committed to demonstrating international support and solidarity during this crucial historical moment for Ukraine.

Position:                      Security Driver (2 positions available)
Location:                     Kyiv, Ukraine

JOB SUMMARY:

GU/ACA seeks skilled Security Drivers for our Kyiv, Ukraine office. The Security Driver will be primarily responsible for ensuring the safe and secure transportation of our personnel, while maintaining a high level of vigilance and professionalism. The ideal candidate should hold a valid B-class (preferably C-class) driver’s license, possess knowledge of local security situations, and demonstrate proficiency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian languages.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely transport ACA Personnel throughout Ukraine and neighboring countries.
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and readiness for use, including light-maintenance, and managing servicing as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle’s safety and security features, including emergency equipment, communication systems, and roadworthiness.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness regarding road and security conditions.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations and employ defensive driving techniques to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with ACA Personnel and the security team, providing updates on transportation status and potential security concerns.
  • Assist in coordinating logistical arrangements, such as route planning, vehicle maintenance, and fueling.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, and maintenance activities.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality regarding client information, travel itineraries, and security protocols.

Requirements:

  • Valid B-class driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Exceptional driving skills, including defensive driving techniques and the ability to operate in high-stress situations.
  • Extensive knowledge of local security conditions and the ability to assess risks and adapt transportation plans accordingly.
  • Fluency in English, Russian, and Ukrainian languages, both written and spoken.
  • Strong situational awareness and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in response to changing circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to protocols.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including sitting for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and maintaining alertness during extended shifts.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in executive protection or security-related roles.
  • Knowledge of advanced driving techniques, such as evasive driving and defensive maneuvers.
  • Training or certification in first aid and emergency response procedures.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and other relevant technology.
