Making Cents International is seeking a Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Intern to work on the USAID-funded Ukraine National Identity Through Youth (UNITY) activity. UNITY fosters vested ownership among young people in the country’s democratic, European future by mobilizing youth leadership of a values-based conception of Ukrainian identity grounded in innovation, engagement, and pluralism.

The activity is simultaneously addressing the key domains identified in USAID’s Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach: building youth assets, fostering resilience, offering age-appropriate experiences for youth contribution, and strengthening the enabling environment, while intentionally and safely promoting dialogue and belonging around this pluralistic identity and incentivizing participation and leadership by historically marginalized groups.

Responsibilities

The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Intern’s tasks will include:

• Supporting knowledge management of MHPSS resources
• Assisting in the delivery of virtual and in-person training on MHPSS-related topics to youth-serving professionals and organizational staff in Ukraine
• Preparing and formatting reports, tables, and charts
• Supporting project procurement activities related to MHPSS activities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Current resident of Ukraine
• Excellent writing and verbal skills in Ukrainian and English
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks concurrently
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications

Working Conditions

Part-time position which requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week for 12 weeks.
