Program Context
Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for multiple technical and crosscutting positions for the five-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Harvest Activity. The activity aims to enable supported male and female grain and oilseed farmers, including those from marginalized and underserved groups, to return production and income for target commodities to at least pre-war levels while improving production efficiency and profitability and will position farmers to market their crops more successfully and profitably in the war-affected context. The Activity will focus specifically on the following target commodities; barley, corn, soybean, sunflower, and wheat.
Positions
Chemonics is seeking applications to fill vacancies for positions listed under the following teams:
Grain and Oilseed Productivity Team: Support Ukrainian grain and oilseed producers in introducing and implementing climate-smart practices to increase production yields and quantity.

Market System Support Team: Increase producers’ access to finance and irrigation support services and assist government actors in improving related rules and regulations.

Learning and Communications Team: The MEL (monitoring, evaluation, and learning) team will support the chief of party in establishing a learning agenda, analyzing data for adaptive management, and collaborating with the communications team to ensure consistent, far-reaching messaging of Harvest activities and successes.

Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Team: The GESI team will support activity leadership, objective team leads, and MEL and communications specialists to implement Harvest’s GESI strategy, updating it annually.

Illustrative Qualifications and Requirements:
Advisor/Team Lead Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least ten years of experience in agribusiness development, MEL, communications, GESI, or a related field on a donor-funded agriculture development project
- Proven experience managing and supervising teams and individuals
- Previous USAID experience, or related donor required
- Strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
- Proficiency in English required, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Manager Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least five years previous experience in agribusiness development, MEL, communications, GESI, or a related field, either in the private sector or with a donor-funded project
- Proven experience managing and supervising teams and individuals
- Previous USAID experience, or related donor required
- Strong knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
- Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communication skills
Specialist Levels:
- Academic degree in related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in agribusiness development, MEL, communications, GESI, or a related field
- Experience working on a USAID project, preferred but not required
- Proficiency in English preferred, with excellent written and oral communication skills
