Job Title: Technical/Administrative Assistant for EU-funded project (full-time position)
Duration of Assignment: approx. 23 months (until 12 may 2025)

1. BACKGROUND
GFA Consulting Group has been implementing the EU-funded project “Support to Ukraine for developing a modern Public Health System” since 2019. The project is supporting the Ministry of Health (beneficiary) and the Ukrainian Public Health Institute as well as the Ukrainian Center for Transplant Coordination (UTCC) with the EU accession process (component 1) and the development of a sustainable blood safety system (component 2).
2. THE POSITION
For the two-year extension period starting in May 2023, the project is looking for a technical/administrative assistant to the Team Leader who supports him with project administration.

Kyiv, Ukraine or remote, preferably within Europe
5. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Assistant will provide technical/scientific and administrative support to the implementation of a public health project. The assignment will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
- To provide technical/scientific and administrative support to the Project Team Leader;
- To support the planning and organisation of consultative meetings with project stakeholders at international, national and oblast levels; management of Zoom conferences;
- To assist in the collection, assessment and interpretation of public health related data, reports, legal and policy documents;
- To assist in the write-up of memos, reports, summaries and drafting of guidelines and policy papers;
- To provide interpretation support in (virtual) meetings, where required;
- To assist in the preparation of training materials and the organization of training events;
- To assist in the formulation of presentations and project briefs;
- To assist Team Leader in coordinating communication and visibility activities of the project;
- To assist the project experts in the implementation of their tasks assigned;
- To assist with monitoring the achievement of project milestones/ensuring the timely completion of reporting duties of project experts;
- To assist with the logistical organization and preparation of study or conference visits; occasionally participate in study tours within Europe and support with expenditure monitoring.
6. PROFILE
Education: University Degree in Medicine or Public Health, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, Languages or other relevant field.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:
- Ukrainian native speaker;
- The project language is English, therefore a very good command of English (reading, writing, speaking) and computer literacy are a prerequisite;
- Excellent analytical and writing skills;
- Ability to arrange appointments, meetings, conferences and maintain multiple schedules and work with minimal direction/supervision;
- Registration as private entrepreneur;
- Knowledge of the Ukrainian Public Health System will be an asset.
Competencies:
He/she would be a quick learner, used to work in a systematic manner. He/she would avail of excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with different stakeholders of the project. He/she would be able to work independently, but feel comfortable at teamwork as well. The incumbent would be respectful with the different actors of the project at national and regional level and contribute to the establishment of a lasting and productive working relationship.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in office administration;
- Previous experience in European Union funded Projects is essential.
7. OTHER
Service Contract will be signed for the duration of the Project (until May 12, 2025) with the GFA Consulting Group GmbH as a Contracting Authority.
