Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international non-governmental organisation that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of free services, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training.
INSO provides daily support to more than 1000 NGOs operating in 16 of the world’s most insecure countries.

INSO Ukraine opened in 2015. Since the escalation of the conflict in February 2022, it has rapidly expanded to a full platform serving the needs of NGOs in a fast-evolving conflict. Currently, 200 national and international NGOs receive INSO services. Our country office is in Kyiv, supported by field offices in Lviv, Dnipro, and Odesa. The scale and intensity of the Ukraine conflict have seen significant humanitarian safety challenges. As part of INSO Ukraine, you will play a key role in developing impactful services for humanitarian safety and helping aid reach people in need.
INSO is now seeking a Training Assistant based in Lviv.
Job Summary
As a Training Assistant, you will contribute to the planning, organization, delivery, and evaluation of training courses, to assist both national and international NGOs in organizational safety and crisis management, as well as personal risk mitigation and humanitarian access.
To be a successful candidate, you need to have a solid administrative background in the NGO sector, be outgoing, inquisitive and detail-oriented, and have significant experience contributing to the deployment of training courses. You will, above all else, share INSO’s commitment to humanitarian principles.
This position opened to Ukrainian nationals only, reports to the Training Manager and is based in Lviv, with possible (short and not frequent) movements to Kyiv.
Major Responsibilities
Administrative management of the Department and the training.
Ensure internal and external communication (email, phone) of the Training Team on all issues related to the administration of training sessions.
Prepare the training calendar and manage invites using MS Forms or CustomerVoice.
Follow up on registrations (communicate with participants and organise digital information).
Assist in the implementation of training.
Assist trainers in the preparation of the necessary material for the delivery of the training sessions.
Contribute to the development of visuals / PowerPoint under the supervision of trainers.
Assist trainers during the delivery, including logistical coordination.
Quality monitoring of training
Participate in the collection of information from INSO partners on the quality and impact of training (correction and compilation of pre-and post-tests, implementation, and processing of the online survey two months after each training, collection of testimonials from participants).
Contribute to the draft reports in English.
Mandatory Requirements
Fluency in Ukrainian and English (written and spoken).
Graduate-level education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, including Power Point and Excel.
A minimum of 3 years in administrative or event planning positions.
Strong commitment to humanitarian principles and values.

Terms and Conditions
12-month renewable contract with a 3-month probationary period. Expected start date ASAP, Gross salary 60 000 UAH.
