Position Summary

Momentum Wheels for Humanity seeks Ukraine Mobile Team Lead to provide support in establishing AT Hub and provision of assistive product (AP) services in AT Hub and by the mobile team in Ukraine. Under the direction of the AT Hub Coordinator and Ukraine Country Director in cooperation with Ukrainian MWH technical staff, Ukraine Mobile Team Lead will be responsible for providing inputs in AT Hub establishment AT Hub; closely cooperating and facilitating AT Hub coordinator; teaching, providing, and advocacy AT hub staff and other rehabilitation professional on appropriate provision of APs; lead work of the mobile team and lead the mobile team in the framework of AT Hub activities. Only candidates with work authorization in Ukraine will be considered; relocation benefits will not be provided. Ukraine Mobile Team Lead should base in Lviv with the opportunity to travel in Ukraine.

Expected Duties and Responsibilities  

Reporting to the Ukrainian AT Hub Coordinator, the Ukraine Mobile Team Lead will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Support Ukraine AT Hub Coordinator in the establishment of Regional AT Center including a selection of AT Hub locations, developing a list of APs with specifications and other needed equipment, setting up AT Hub space
  • Coordinate regularly with Ukraine AT Hub Coordinator and other AT Hub staff, MWH staff, logistics, and procurement coordinator, and relevant staff to facilitate AT Hub activities
  • Provide direct AT services to clients in the AT Hub, including tele-AT services, and by the mobile team
  • Lead, manage and coordinate work of the mobile team and delegate tasks as needed in consultation with Ukraine AT Hub Coordinator and Country Director
  • Coordinate with technical and program staff in Ukraine to support the dispatch and appropriate provision of APs from the hub to facilities throughout Ukraine
  • Actively participate in identifying needs of rehab facilities, procurement, delivery, inventory, and distribution of APs to facility and clients
  • Provide virtual or in-person training and mentorship to the rehabilitation workforce on AT provision at the AT Regional Center and through the mobile team, using WSTP-b and/or TAP training materials; support the adaptation of training materials as needed
  • Provide user skills training, including on the use of wheelchairs and other AT, during regular AT provision at the hub and through mobile clinics
  • Identify humanitarian actors and closely cooperate with logistic and procurement coordinator for inventory and distribution of AT`s
  • Provide inputs to monthly, quarterly, and/or ad hoc donor and internal reports, ensuring that reporting is accurate and timely
  • Attend coordination meetings that are relevant to AT Hub activities and MWH staff
  • Attend or represent MWH in meetings with healthcare providers as needed
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of MWH

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in the rehabilitation field, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or master`s degree in health policy, global health, or health system and/or in the relevant field of study
  • At least five years of clinical or educational practice as a rehab specialist
  • Experience, general awareness, and understanding of assistive devices and assistive technology
  • Previous experience in providing assistive devices
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills and reporting skills
  • Ability to set clear goals and manage progress toward them
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organization and prioritization skills
  • Written and spoken fluency in Ukrainian.
