USAID SOERA looks for Project Management Assіstаnt (Component 1)

Deloitte is seeking a qualified candidate for the USAID State-Owned Enterprises Reform Activity in Ukraine (Ukraine SOERA) to serve as a Project Management Assistant for Component 1. The position is full-time in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Project Background
USAID SOERA program aims to strengthen public sector operations and transparency, improve governance and oversight, advance SOE privatization, and develop a strategic management model for SOEs remaining in state ownership. Smart reform and targeted privatization of Ukraine’s SOEs will reduce opportunities for corruption, increase private sector participation, and stimulate broad-based economic growth. Project components include:
- Component 1: State Property Transfer
- Component 2: State Property Management
- Component 3: Individual SOE/MOE Support
- Component 4: Restoration and Reconstruction
- Component 5: Accountable Public Financial Management.
Three cross-cutting assistance areas (CCAs) that support the work of each component:
- CCA 1: Corporate Governance
- CCA 2: Strategic Communications
- CCA 3: Strengthening Civil Society Role
Objective
The Project Management Assistant will have a wide range of responsibilities, including aiding in the design, development, and implementation of management systems within USAID SOERA components and cross-cutting areas.
Responsibilities
- Support and Administration
- Support and administer the Component work.
- Assist the Component Lead in preparing project completion reports and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Support the Component Lead in undertaking quality and editorial assurance of project reports and documents.
- Communication and Coordination
- Establish connections with external clients and other internal SOERA staff to arrange agendas, reports, and presentation materials.
- Coordinate and compile information for meetings, conferences, and seminars, deliver meetings’ minutes; help produce reports from various stakeholders.
- Cooperate with SOERA communications staff to capture the results of Component work and develop content for communication.
- Teamwork and Collaboration
- Exemplify teamwork, cooperation, and proficiency in cross-functional and individual teams.
- Nurture vital connections, engage, and enlighten others within and outside the team.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Ensure Component maintenance of project files and supporting documents, in line with prevailing guidance.
- Manage the compilation, consolidation, and analysis of data.
- Administrative Support
- Provide support in organizing internal meetings, deliver meetings’ minutes.
- Carry out miscellaneous administrative and clerical tasks, collaborating with support services for arranging catering, event logistics, and publication distribution.
- Maintain and administer SOERA project management software tools (software) for the respective component.
- Lessons Learned and Knowledge Sharing
- Support the Component Lead to ensure lessons learned are identified, captured, and shared in a timely and appropriate manner.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management may be advantageous.
- Professional experience in project management or coordination roles, preferably in a related industry or sector. Experience with project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting is required.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Experience with project management tools and software is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and external partners. The ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Experience working in cross-functional teams is advantageous.
- Experience working on or with USAID or other international donor-funded programs is beneficial.
- Fluent in English — spoken and written.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and time-management skills
- Adeptness with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) at an intermediate to advanced level.
