Ukraine: Officer, Communications
The Communications Officer will help the Country Director and the Senior Advisor, Policy and Advocacy to advance protection of civilians (POC) topics in Ukraine to influence policy advocacy processes as well as raise awareness on these issues among the general public. Along the way the incumbent will aid in producing high-quality research reports and policy briefs, writing and editing engaging and accessible blog entries, and taking a lead role in expanding CIVIC’s presence on the Web and in social media. The position requires a journalists’ eye for detail and obsession with news, a marketer’s savvy sense of what catches the audience’s attention, and a fluency with current local and international issues surrounding conflict and civilians in east of Ukraine:

Ukraine: Officer, Military Engagement
Work with the Senior Military Advisor, and CIVIC Ukraine Program team to ensure successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine portfolio. This includes contributing to development of strategies for successful implementation of the project; engaging with Ukrainian military education system to ensure development, integration and delivery of curricula, courses and other training tools on protection of civilians for the military; work with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security and defense actors to address the issues outside training for the military (e.g. Civilian Casualty Mitigation Team’s operations); work with international partners to ensure coordination and complementarity of trainings for the military and security forces.
Ukraine: Officer, Protection
Work with the Senior Protection Officer, and CIVIC Ukraine Program team to ensure successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine portfolio. The incumbent will implement the community-based protection component with a focus on civilian-military dialogues in 3-5 communities along the conflict line in East of Ukraine. S/he will serve as the CIVIC’s interface to the military, communities, local government, and civil society as regards to all aspects related to the implementation of community-based protection component of the program.

Ukraine: Program Assistant
Reporting to Program Manager, the Program Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including managing organizational events, coordinating travel and itineraries, drafting correspondence, attending meetings and drafting minutes, maintaining office smooth operations: initiate purchasing of office supplies, arranging for IT support etc. The incumbent will also perform accounting functions in line with the HQ accounting system and requirements of the Ukraine legislation.

Ukraine: Program Manager
The program manager will provide advanced support to Ukraine Country Director and partly to Europe Director to successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine and Europe portfolios. This includes all aspects of managing the projects, day-to-day operational support, financial management of the project, and grants administration. This position requires professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian and English, attention to detail, and ability to think logically and follow a process through to completion with minimal supervision.

Ukraine: Project Coordinator, Kramatorsk
Work with the Program Manager, and CIVIC Ukraine Program team to ensure successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine portfolio. This includes coordination and information management, administrative and logistical support ensuring CIVIC regional presence (pro)actively contributes to success of the project. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Protection Officer to serve as a local interface to CIVIC beneficiaries, partners and interlocutors in the eastern Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, including to the locally deployed/stationed military units and other defense & security sector actors. He or she will be the primary administrative focal point for CIVIC in the region.
Ukraine: Senior Advisor, Policy and Advocacy
Work with the Country Director, and CIVIC Ukraine Program team to ensure successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine portfolio. The incumbent will lead the policy and advocacy component of the country program. S/he will serve as the CIVIC’s interface to the military, government, communities, and civil society as regards to all aspects related to advancing the policy on protection of civilians and assistance to civilians harmed in armed conflict.
This includes developing and executing strategies for successful implementation of the advocacy component of the project; conduct advocacy activities for adoption of policies on protection on civilians and post-harm assistance; work with civil society and local populations to understand how civilians are being harmed in the conflict and treated by the military personnel to best contribute to the policy advocacy; lead the development of advocacy products (policy briefs, reports, surveys) to reflect and amplify civilian perspectives; work with other NGOs to develop mechanisms for addressing civilian needs; represent the organization at UN clusters and other international organization platforms.
Ukraine: Senior Officer, Protection
Work with Country Director, and CIVIC Ukraine Program team to ensure successful implementation of projects within the Ukraine portfolio. The incumbent will lead the community-based protection component of the program with a focus on civilian-military dialogues implemented in a number of communities along the conflict line in East of Ukraine. This will involve working with CIVIC Global Senior Protection Advisor to adapt CIVIC community-based protection (CBP) methodology to the Ukraine context, advise on best practices and tools to implement CBP within CIVIC Ukraine program.
