Citizenship: Ukrainian
Language Requirements: Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian and English, written and spoken.

Project Description: Alinea International has been contracted by the UK Government to establish a strategic communications support platform. This platform will support Ukraine government communications activities and priorities by assembling top talent in a format designed to meet the increased public demand for transparent communication caused by Russia’s illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

About the Work: As the Analytics Lead (Strategic Communications) in the Command Team, your role is central to the strategic development and evaluation of our communication efforts. You will harness a variety of data sources, including new research, to deeply understand audiences and the information environment in priority countries. Your analytical prowess will be key in shaping communication strategies that resonate effectively with diverse audiences. You provide technical direction to a 4-person analytical team to support your efforts. Additionally, your responsibility for measuring the impact of these communications is crucial, ensuring that our efforts are not only impactful but also continuously refined for greater effectiveness.

The Role:

Data Analysis and Strategy Development:
• Identify datasets and sources relevant for understanding priority countries and their information environment.
• Utilize diverse data sources to conduct thorough analysis to support the development of effective communication strategies.
• Commission and interpret new research to gain insights into audience, attitudes, behaviours and preferences.
Reporting and Communication:
• Effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to the Command Team and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
• Share reporting across the MFA to ensure the role of communications’ in supporting diplomatic outcomes is better understood.
Impact Measurement:
• Develop robust methods to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
• Manage the provision of actionable insights for continuous improvement of communications activity.
• Ensure timely communications impact reports that meet the requirements of the project monitoring and evaluation plan.
Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with the Command Team, particularly the regional leads, to align data-driven insights with regional communication strategies.
• Engage across the MFA and Government of Ukraine to collect and share data and reporting.
• Understand Embassy analytical needs and consult on the development of appropriate schemes of research.
Innovation in Analytics:
• Continuously seek innovative analytical methods and tools to enhance the understanding of complex information environments.
• Share lessons learned for both analyzing communications and running the hub with stakeholders across Government of Ukraine and the donor community.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Communications, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis in a communications or marketing context.
• A track record of managing teams to meet reporting and analysis customer requirements, ideally in a communication or marketing context.
• Proven expertise in utilizing a variety of data sources for comprehensive analysis.
• Strong skills in data visualization and communication of analytical findings.
• Experience in measuring the impact of communication campaigns.
• Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantage.
