Remuneration: Fees are subject to negotiation and shall not exceed established market rates
Indicative LOE/Time Frame: Full-Time, February 2024 – March 2026

For contracting (after the job offer is made), the selected candidate is expected to be registered as a Private Entrepreneur of the 3d group (consultancy services)

Citizenship: Ukrainian

Language Requirements: Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian and English, written and spoken.

Project Description: Alinea International has been contracted by the UK Government to establish a strategic communications support platform. This platform will support Ukraine government communications activities and priorities by assembling top talent in a format designed to meet the increased public demand for transparent communication caused by Russia’s illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

About the Work:

As the Media Monitoring Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and well-documented execution of various activities. Key responsibilities include supporting research, analyzing and interpreting information from diverse sources, and providing insights on news and media stories through monitoring and analyzing multiple data inputs. You will respond to information requests, produce clear and concise analytic reports, and enhance cross-agency coordination.

The Role:

• Support research using information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain evidence and perceptions on various news and media stories.
• Monitor, review, collate, and triangulate multiple data reporting inputs, while providing analysis, to inform the project team and the client.
• Support quality assurance and quality control on multiple media data inputs (including surveys, qualitative, quantitative, atmospherics, and social media analytics).
• Contribute to recommendations and identifies operational opportunities for strategic communication campaigns based on data inputs from all source reporting.
• Assist in identifying gaps in existing communications planning of state institutions by assessing vulnerabilities and resiliencies through data-driven multi-source reporting.
• Respond to requests for information by researching, synthesising, evaluating, and providing assessments based on multi-sourced reports and makes recommendations for other activities (for campaign planning and content creation).
• Provide assessments and recommendations to improve cross-agency coordination.
Produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/soft copy matrices, and/or web-enabled formats.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in conducting media analytics and leveraging data to inform strategic communication campaigns.
• Experience in working with international development organizations, state institutions, and bodies and familiarity with campaign management and reporting.
• An understanding of interpreting analysis to include its meaning, importance, and implications using an array of media monitoring and analysis software tools.
• A natural storyteller who can interpret the data and collate it into usable storying to inform campaign planning.
• Diligent professional with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an enthusiasm for working in a highly-collaborative setting – sharing best practices, lessons learned, and assisting where gaps exist.
• Ability to defend analytic judgments with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytical judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments.
• You are a self-starter who takes initiative in processing data and developing target audience analysis and persona development.
• Superb organizational, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. You are willing to develop an understanding of national-level government agencies, their service delivery, and communications plans.
