Вакансія: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (part time, remote mode)

Internews Europe is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to support the SIDA-funded project Support for Ukrainian Media Survival (SUMS). SUMS will help to ensure the financial survival and mid-term sustainability of national, local, and hyperlocal media in Ukraine, build local media capacity in gender-sensitive reporting and core journalist skills, and provide psychosocial support for journalists suffering from trauma and burnout. The M&E Manager will ensure continuous data collection, collect impact data, train and support grantees, and contribute to preparing reports.
The position can be based in Ukraine or Europe, and a selected candidate may have the opportunity to work in-office if in Kyiv or work remotely.

This is a part-time, limited-duration position with an expected end date of 30 November 2025.
DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:
- Support the design and implementation of project evaluation and other research methodologies that may need to be developed or utilized in the Project.
- Collect, verify, and report all required M&E data in compliance with Internews’ and donors’ data quality standards.
- Oversee consistent application of M&E standards by project partners, ensuring that all subgrant agreements include well-designed M&E plans that utilize realistic and relevant indicators and targets.
- Provide training and mentoring to partners and staff on M&E systems, reports, and products as needed.
- Hold periodic M&E check-ins with relevant staff members and partners and use feedback to adapt the Results Framework and data collection systems accordingly, if necessary.
- Develop internal tracking systems to maintain data in an organized, secure, and easy-to-understand way.
- Continuously monitor, review, and ensure data quality from partners, trainers, and technical specialists.
- Write and edit sections of narrative reports on project progress and results (including M&E data) as per Internews’ and donor guidelines.
- Coordinate with project staff and partners to ensure timely data submission and examples of project impact that meet Internews’ and donor standards for quality, detail, and clarity.
- Provide project information about data, assessment methodologies, and examples of project impact promptly and accurately to the donor and Internews staff when requested.
- Other administrative duties to assist the team as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least three years of professional experience in sociological research, evaluative assessment, journalism, or international development.
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, information science, development, journalism, or related field or equivalent standard of education or equivalent lived/professional experience. Master’s degree and/or professional training in social science, evaluation, or media preferred.
- Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Experience designing surveys and other assessment methodologies preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and excellent Ukrainian is required.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and reliably to a high standard and a deadline.
