With regards to the above and in the framework of the project ‘IRINA: Intersectoral Initiative to support victims of Ukrainian Crisis’ funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), AVSI and EMMAUS are currently seeking to recruit a:
Position: Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) Focal Point
Duty Stations: Poltava city
Department: Project
Starting date: ASAP
Period: 2 months of probation with highly possibility to extend
Report to: Project Manager
Summary of the key responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to for MPCA activities;
- Coordinate MPCA activities in the designated area;
- Ensure that MPCA activities are carried out in the established and planned timing;
- Ensure that MPCA activities are carried out with quality;
- Support the Project Manager in selecting AVSI and EMMAUS staff involved in MPCA activities;
- Ensure that beneficiaries are treated equally and adeguately by all AVSI and EMMAUS staff;
- Ensure the correct selection of beneficiaries profiting from MPCA activities;
- Coordinate AVSI and EMMAUS staff and ensure their work is carried out correctly;
- Ensure proper monitoring of project’s indicators, including development of monitoring tools;
- Ensure databases are accurate and updated also through collection and transciption of several information;
- Maintain good relation with Local authorities and other stakeholders in the reference area;
- Ensure the application of the local Cash Working Group guidelines and standards in the project activities;
- Regularly participate in Cash Working Group meetings and other sectoral coordination fora;
- Timely inform and report to the Project Manager on the progresses as well as problems arise during the planning of the activities;
- Any other related tasks requested by the Project Manager;
Required and essential qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of studies (e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Development studies, Statistics etc.);
- Excellent knowledge of English language (both written and oral)
- Previous experience in cash transfer and/or other social safety net
Other preferable requirements:
- Previous experience in working with International NGO ;
- Having done any training in coordination, distribution of cash and/or basic goods, data entry, monitoring etc.;
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards;
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy;
- Highly organized and flexible;
- Able to work under pressure and under strict deadlines;
- Strong team-building;
- Strong logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet;
