The Investment for Business Resilience (IBR) Activity, formerly known as FSR, is a five-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by DAI Global LLC. The purpose of the IBR Activity is to support systemic changes in Ukraine’s economy and increases the supply of finance available to Ukrainian businesses. IBR aims to transform the country’s financial sector into a well-functioning and competitive market that is aligned with European Union standards and integrated into international financial systems, while directly providing financing to enterprises for sustained economic growth.
IBR is organized into four thematic areas:
- New Investments Facilitation for Enterprise Growth
- Deepened Private Sector Financial Intermediation and Expanded Private Finance
- Improved Market Regulation and Financial Infrastructure
- Enhanced Transparency and Communications about Financial Sector Reform.
The IBR is looking for candidates to fill in the Program officer position in Lviv.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Program Officer provides operational and administrative assistance to the project leadership team and performs a variety of coordination, communications, and logistic services to support the implementation of all project activities.
OBJECTIVES AND DUTIES:
- Support the daily administrative and operational needs of the project leadership team, including maintaining incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Coordinate with communications team to maintain and update project meeting and events calendars, assist with planning, scheduling meetings, making appointments, and sending invitations.
- Keep track of various types of reporting (deadlines, submissions etc.) as required by the IBR contract and requested by USAID.
- Keep track of Project / Component teams’ tasks as assigned by Deputy Chief of Party and / or Chief of Party to ensure coordination across teams to deliver them on time.
- Draft documents and correspondence in English and (or) Ukrainian languages upon Deputy Chief of Party’s and / or Chief of Party’s request.
- Develop templates, forms, trackers, and other project management tools for improving efficiency (reporting, financial and other resource management).
- Develop and maintain an efficient project technical document and filing system in line with project retention policy and ensure adherence to project templates.
- Assist with development of internal policies, procedures.
- Provide ad-hoc translation and interpretation.
- Prepare required meeting documents and agenda, take meeting minutes, draft memos to file during project meetings and events.
- Coordinate with monitoring and evaluation team on reporting of the events, workshops, seminars, and training sessions per USAID guidelines.
- Assist project leadership team in making photocopies, drafting letters, formatting power point presentations, sending technical documents, coordinating with the translator to translate project documents as needed.
- Assist in the planning and oversight of events such as annual work planning meetings, annual retreats, launching events, other public events and trainings.
- Help project leadership team establish and maintain communication and coordination channels with government offices, local organizations, donors, and others by acting as a liaison with those external parties.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience are required.
- Familiarity with international donors and prior experience with USAID-funded projects preferred.
- Strong administrative, coordination and organizational skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving. Ability to multi-task to meet set deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a track record of successful coordination and effective working relations with a wide range of vendors and service providers.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral in English and Ukrainian.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite) is a must.
