Job Title: Short Term Project Assistant: Qualification development
Expected Start Date of Assignment: January-February 2022
End Date of Assignment: 31.03.2023
Working time: 200 days, 8 hours a day, between 15.1.2022 – 31.3.2023
Fee: 50 -60 € / working day, depending on the expertise of the candidate. The Project Assistant is expected to cover any necessary tax, pension and insurance costs (FOP).

Project: Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) is looking for a Project Assistant on Qualification Development for the EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine project co-financed by the European Union and its Member States.
EU4Skills supports the reform of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Ukraine. The aim is to make training more responsive to the labor market needs and help young people and adults to live up to their potential.
EU4Skills is a multi-donor action of the European Union (EU) and its member states Germany, Finland, Poland and Estonia. The EDUFI is responsible for the implementation of Finland’s contribution. Finland contributes to the following four result areas of the project: development of qualifications, curriculum development, teacher training and school manager training.
Job Description: The Short-Term Project Assistant is contracted by the EDUFI.
- Participation in the work of development of vocational education and training (VET) standards
- Preparing, editing and finalizing documents related to standard development
- Assisting day-to-day technical and operational issues concerning standard development
- Preparing meeting agendas and taking minutes
- Act as a translator and interpreter when needed (larger jobs will be outsourced)
- Office management and general correspondence
- Assisting in the organization of webinars, experts’ missions, trainings, seminars, workshops on qualification development
The Candidate is expected to have:
- Mother tongue Ukrainian. Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proven previous experience of translation and interpretation
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Internet, Power Point, Teams etc.)
- Capacity to work independently as well as a part of a multicultural team
- Highly motivated and willingness to work hard and flexibly as part of an international result-oriented team
- Excellent cooperation, interaction and digital competencies
- Experience in office work
- Experience in education, especially in vocational education and training, is considered as an asset
Selection process and conditions of contract: He / she will be contracted on the EDUFI rules through an open tender procedure. Successful applicant will be an independent consultant and undertake full responsibility for the payment of all taxes and obligations deriving from the legislation in force, including for those related to medical and social insurance. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for the next step of selection. The interviews and tests are expected to take place on the 10.-20.1.2022.
