Вакансія: Specialist to provide technical support on NCD evidence-based interventions

Swiss TPH is co-implementing a USAID-funded project Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity. The primary goal of PHS R&R is to strengthen the Government of Ukraine (GoU)’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats, sustain critical public health services during a crisis, and protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Swiss TPH seeks a specialist to provide technical support on NCD evidence-based interventions for the project «Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity».

Main purpose of consultancy/technical support

• Provide technical assistance in the development and implementation of the training on health seeking behavior communication for RCDCPs (module on NCDs)
• Conceptualize and develop a program for multistakeholder meeting of the Regional Coordination Councils on Public Health to discuss NCD policy making to implement evidence-based approaches at the regional level
• Conceptualize and develop a concept review on capacity building activities for RCDCPs in the field of NCD prevention and control and on respective follow-up mentorship support
• Provide technical assistance in the development of short videos on the connection between healthy diet and psychological status of children of school age
• Provide technical assistance in the development (conceptualization) of the two sessions on NCD to be held within the All-Ukrainian Conference on Public Health (October 3-4, 2024)
• Take part in the delivery of NCD trainings / other capacity building activities and the PH Conference as a facilitator together with the project team
• Ensure proper reporting in accordance with the project requirements.

Period of performance: August 2024 – November 2024.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in medicine (epidemiology), public health, social work, public policy, health and human services, or a related field is required
• Ability to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments and work with and between different stakeholders
• Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and consensus building
• Fluency in Ukrainian (literate oral and written communications) and ability to understand written materials in English
• Focus on results, strong teamwork and communication skills, and interest in continuous professional development.

Ability to travel to the respective regions as required (with safety considerations duly handled by the project)
