MSH is currently implementing in Ukraine a five year Safe, Affordable, and Effective Medicines for Ukrainians Project (SAFEMed) Activity funded by USAID. The goal of the SAFEMed activity is to strengthen the pharmaceutical system in Ukraine to ensure transparency and cost-efficiency for desired health outcomes.
Purpose
The Communications Consultant will support the project and the Communications Advisor through design production and implementation of all visual materials related to Project’s activities. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, the SAFEMed Communications Consultant will report directly to the Communications Advisor.
Period of Consultancy: December 2020 -May 2021 with the possibility of extension
Profile
- Visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to explain concepts verbally and visual interpretation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A practical hands-on approach to work.
- Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team.
- Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software and production tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English, professional verbal and written English and Ukrainian skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Ukrainian BA (or equivalent) or a higher degree in communications, public relations, journalism or other relevant discipline.
- Experience with graphic design, with special emphasis on infographics.
- A minimum of five years of experience in communication, public relations, or another relevant field.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
- Prepare all project communication materials – technical briefs, technical reports, presentations, infographics, banners and other materials for quarterly stakeholders’ meetings, round table discussions and other project activities in close consultation with project key technical advisors and project COP.
- Visually set up monthly e-newsletter on SAFEMed project progress.
- Provide support in managing large SAFEMed communications events.
- In collaboration with SAFEMed technical advisors, government counterpart, and other USAID-funded projects prepare communications materials related to changes in health care sector.
