Project Manager (Water & Sanitation Project)
ADRA Ukraine is a subunit of a large worldwide network present in more than 125 countries, with the HQ in Washington D.C. ADRA Ukraine has been operating in Ukraine since 1993. Due to humanitarian response, ADRA Ukraine is providing humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people in 15 regions of Ukraine.
A new project aims to develop hygiene and sanitation at Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine by distributions of hygiene kits and informational campaign, and to provide population of Donetsk and Lugansk regions with access to clean drinking water.
Grade: 4 – for Ukrainian nationals – Civil Agreement
Starts up date: 14/12/2015
Duration of the contract: till 13/04/2016 with possible prolongation
Location: Based in Kiev with short-term trips to Eastern Ukraine
SUMMARY
The Project Manager will be directly responsible for smooth and timely implementation of the project. This will include program planning, staff management, monitoring and evaluation, timely reporting, finance management. The Project Manager will closely cooperate with the Emergency Projects Coordinator, project partners, other stakeholders and ADRA’s office staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management, coordination and implementation of the project
- Manage all administrative tasks related to the set–up and implementation of the project
- Communication with donor’s organization and partners
- Responsible for daily operations management
- Collecting information from the Field and M&E Manager on weekly updates and reports for the WASH cluster
- Support project development, as well as development of new potential proposals
- Be responsible for project documentation and effective monitoring and evaluation in compliance with donor’s regulations
- Work in collaboration and participatory manner with all project partners and project stakeholders (local authorities, NGO representatives, pilot communities, development partners etc.)
- Liaise with stakeholders and partners to fulfil project objectives
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- University degree or equivalent in Project Management or relevant subject area
- At least 2 years experience in project management, public services
- Understanding of emergency & humanitarian context an advantage
- Previous experience in water, sanitation, food or development programs is an asset
- Willingness to do both administrative work as well as project development work
- Flexibility and being solution-oriented
- Teamwork skills
- Fluent in English and Ukrainian/Russian is a must
