This five-year program will encourage startup businesses and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), increase domestic market competition, and support the competitiveness of Ukrainian firms in international markets. Chemonics is specifically recruiting for the following position to join our Project team:
Travel Assistant. This position will provide logistical and administrative support in daily activities of the CEP technical units to ensure efficient operations. The Travel Assistant will serve as a key member of the technical team to provide clerical, logistical, and other administrative support to program’s technical units and their Leads. The responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance with local and international trips’ planning for CEP technical teams, Short-Term Technical Assistance (STTA) Consultants and Program partners, namely booking hotels, tickets and ground transportation, creating and editing detailed trip itineraries; prior to each trip, organizing all materials and sending out departure packages to the relevant team members and events’ participants; working closely with logistical vendors, venues, and service providers on invoicing and payments; providing support with obtaining visa for team members and events’ participants on as needed basis, etc.
The Travel Assistant should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Progressively responsible experience in administrative or travel/logistical assistance positions.
- Demonstrated ability to treat information with discretion and show sensitivity and tact in communications.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to condense information.
- Previous experience of support to senior leadership preferred.
- Strong administrative skills, word-processing abilities, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask and prioritize as part of a fast-moving team.
- Previous USAID or other international donor experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
