Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helping MDT connect its long-term vision with short-term actions, through participatory future-thinking methods, data analysis or other relevant actions;
- Combining micro- and macro-perspectives to grasp complexity: using knowledge gained from various and many parts of a system that go beyond the area of specific interest. Exploring their interconnectedness to reveal patterns and essential relationships that will help MDT make better decisions;
- Supporting MDT in using different kinds of data effectively to accelerate deeper understanding of policy areas; exploring new data generation and collection approaches, which help view a problem in a different light and open up new possibilities, visualise systems and complex problems;
- Identify new sources of evidence and insights, present new insights in accessible and comprehensive ways to enable sensemaking and analysis;
- Provide advisory support to the MDT senior management, identify critical challenges where the application of public sector innovation would bring the most benefits, develop comprehensive proposals and work plans for such challenges;
- Continuously explore innovation areas for MDT, provide support to exploring ecosystems, developing new sources of evidence for the policy concerning such spheres as digital economy, venture investment, digitalisation standards etc.
- Coordinate her/his activities with other experts working within the Policy Lab, ensure sound planning of her/his work, expected outcomes and activities according to MDT’s and team’s priorities and the innovation nature of this assignment.
