GC has recently launched its Community-Led Emergency Action and Response (CLEAR) program in Ukraine’s Chernivtsi and Chernihiv Oblasts, with the generous support of USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance. This program is designed with the goal of saving lives, reducing suffering, and addressing needs while supporting communities to lead their own response. To that end, CLEAR will partner with local CSOs to implement humanitarian projects that address protection, shelter, or water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) needs in their communities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Input into the design of a series of tools to improve context analysis and adaptability.
- Organize and execute the testing of a range of context analysis tools in a number of pilot countries.
- Act as the focal point for all country programs involved in the testing of tools.
- Establish a monitoring and learning framework to capture lessons learnt on the value of each context analysis tool and make recommendations regarding adaptations to existing tools.
- Ensure effective reporting and communication to key stakeholders on initiative progress.
- Oversee re-development selected tools for organizational roll out, including content, branding and translation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in relevant field required (International Relations, Development, Human Rights, Anthropology or Sociology);
- 3 years work experience in the humanitarian sector and/or academic research;
- Experience of Participatory Techniques
- Strong facilitation skills
- Knowledge of one or more of the following approaches: Social Network Analysis, Conflict Sensitivity Analysis, Political Economy Analysis, Gende
- Analysis and/or Participatory Capacity and Vulnerability Analysis.
- Ability to travel frequently and to complex environments;
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
