The Financial Sector Reform Activity (FSR) in Ukraine is a five-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by DAI Global LLC (DAI). The purpose of the activity is to transform the country’s financial sector into a sophisticated, well-functioning, competitive market that is aligned with European Union (EU) standards and integrated into international financial systems. This transformation will mobilize private finance for sustained economic growth in Ukraine.
The FSR is looking for candidates to fill in the following Financial Literacy and Communications Experts (short-term, consultant) positions under Component 4 “Transparency and Communications”:
1. Financial Consumer Protection Expert
Short description of Objectives and Duties:
- Conduct research of financial consumer protection landscape and existing initiatives in Ukraine and provide a report on the research results and recommendations on existing and suggested new activities to be implemented by the FSR Project, with a focus on potential initiatives with a private sector.
- Conduct research of international practices in financial consumer protection right awareness and provide recommendations on their implementation in Ukraine.
- Assist with conducing a national survey to assess the public’s awareness of the payment security rules and application of those rules in practice, and to assess Ukrainians’ behavior when they face payment fraud. Develop the survey methodology. Participate in the questionnaire development. Analyze the survey results. Produce the report and power point presentation on the survey results. Provide recommendations on anti-fraud awareness raising initiatives.
- Prepare publications (articles, op-ed materials, etc.), information and educational materials on consumer protection and consumer finance.
Required Qualifications:
- Higher degree in economics, banking and finance, financial law, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the area related to financial consumer protection.
- Knowledge of financial consumer protection landscape in Ukraine.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
2. Financial Content Writer
Short description of Objectives and Duties:
- Сreate engaging content for media publications and social media about financial industry on the topics related to Project activities in simple and easy-to-understand language.
- Develop content for infographics and other visuals.
- Conduct research on developments in financial sector of Ukraine.
- Keep abreast with the latest financial industry trends, consistently contributing fresh ideas to content creation.
Required Qualifications:
- Higher вegree in Finance, Business or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a content writer.
- Solid writing and editing skills with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and concise manner.
- In-depth understanding of how to research and write for the financial community.
- Portfolio of published articles.
3. Graphic Designer
Short description of Objectives and Duties:
- Create illustrations and other graphics that convey accurate messaging for the Project. Work with Digital Communications Manager to ensure effective visual storytelling across all digital platforms.
- Based on data provided by experts, create infographics, charts and other kinds of data visualizations which make complex ideas more accessible.
- Design eye-catching posters, banners, branded materials for public events and other visuals (web and print).
- Create templates for social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube) and presentations.
- Develop Project’s visual brand identity.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in graphics design.
- Proficient in developing computer graphics and the use of shapes, colors, typography, images and more to convey ideas to an audience.
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc.).
All positions require:
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English;
- Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
