INSO Ukraine
INSO Ukraine opened in 2015. Since the full-scale invasion in February 2022, it has rapidly expanded to a full platform serving the needs of NGOs in a fast-evolving conflict. Currently, more than 200 national and international NGOs receive INSO services. Our country office is in Kyiv, supported by field offices in Lviv, Dnipro, and Odesa. The scale and intensity of the Ukraine conflict have seen significant humanitarian safety challenges. As part of INSO Ukraine, you will play a key role in developing impactful services for humanitarian safety and helping aid reach people in need.
INSO is now seeking a Training Assistant logistics to become part of the Humanitarian Training Centre team based in Lviv.
Job Summary
As a Training Assistant Logistics, you will contribute to the preparation, organization, and delivery of Humanitarian Environment Individual Safety Training (HEIST) courses to assist aid workers in personal risk mitigation and humanitarian access.
To be the successful candidate, you should have experience in logistics and a technical background in the NGO sector. You need to be outgoing, inquisitive, and detail-oriented, and have experience contributing to the implementation of training courses or events. Above all else, you will share INSO’s commitment to humanitarian principles
This position, opened to Ukrainian nationals only, reports to the Training Manager and is based in Lviv with possible (not frequent) travels to Kyiv.
Major Responsibilities
Manage equipment, stocks, and supplies for training courses and the Training Centre
- Manage stocks (inventories and maintenance) of training materials. Monitor the supply needs.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of training sessions
Support the implementation of training courses
- Supervise suppliers’ work and contracts, including building or maintenance works in the training centre.
- Coordinate and liaise with service providers for the training (catering, actors).
- Participate in facilitating certain parts of the training, including driving INSO vehicles during practical simulations with participants.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of training sessions, including setting up training space and simulations/practice, printing documents, liaising with training venue, etc
Mandatory requirements
- Diploma in a relevant field in lieu of at least five years’ experience in a relevant field
- Fluency in Ukrainian and English (written and spoken)
- Demonstrable experience in administration, logistics, stock management and/or event planning
- Valid driving license
- Effective use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with different types of people
- Strong ability to organize inventories, and file data and documents efficiently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with different kinds of stakeholders.

Terms and Conditions
12-month renewable contract with a 3-month probationary period. Expected start date as soon as possible, Gross salary 59 000 UAH.
