Pact Inc. is implementing a USAID-funded project Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity. The primary goal of PHS R&R is to strengthen the Government of Ukraine (GoU)’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats, sustain critical public health services during a crisis, and protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Background

Pact seeks a consultant(s) for the USAID/ Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity to provide training for the medical staff and social services representatives that will perform their duties as members of mobile teams.

The consultant(s) will be expected to conduct professional development and excellence training for the medical staff and social services representatives. The consultant(s) will also be expected to provide checklists and standard operating procedures for relevant areas of mobile teams’ performance.

Main purpose of consultancy/technical support

  • The consultant(s) is expected to conduct a training for up to 30 people in February-March, 2024 on the following topic “Cancer screening and support of cancer patients on PHC level” with focus on primary care mobile teams.
  • Provide checklists and standard operating procedures for relevant screenings of mobile teams’ performance.

 Deliverables:

  • Training is developed and conducted. Agenda, Materials, List of participants, Pre- Post testing survey and its results
  • Provided checklists and standard operating procedures for relevant screenings of mobile teams’ performance.

Period of performance: February – April 2024

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in medicine, public health, psychology, social science, or other relevant fields. 
  • At least 5 years of experience of working in healthcare system.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in developing and conducting trainings/professional development courses for medical staff.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in development and/or implementation of multidisciplinary mobile teams’ activities will be an advantage.
  • Strict adherence to deadlines. 
  • Ability to work effectively, often under tight deadlines, and deliver a quality product in a professional manner.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian (literate oral and written communications).

Selection Criteria:

  • Master’s degree in medicine, public health, psychology, social science, or other relevant fields – 10 points
  • Experience of working in health care system – 10 points
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in developing and conducting trainings/professional development courses for medical staff – 30 points
  • Experience in development and/or implementation of multidisciplinary mobile teams’ activities will be an advantage – 15 points
  • Timeline – 15 points
  • Strict adherence to deadlines – 10 points
  • Fluency in Ukrainian (literate oral and written communications) – 10 points
